SIZE AND SPECS
The earrings dangle approx. 1-1/4" (31.75mm) long, with Sterling Silver ear wires. Each ruby is unique, and sized from approx. 5/16"-3/8" (8-10mm), set in Sterling Silver. Rhodium, a relative of Platinum, keeps the Sterling Silver shining bright, with no tarnishing. A "Bezel Setting" is a metal rim that encircles the sides of a stone and holds it securely.

In the first century AD, the Roman scholar Pliny included rubies in his Natural History, describing their hardness and density.
