Silver Quilt Square Genuine Ruby Earrings Textile Gemstone Jewelry

These earrings are inspired by my time at a gallery that imported the most beautiful and delicate vintage Japanese textiles. The pattern in these earrings particularly remind me of the rustic embroidery of the quilts made by the people who lived in the countryside of Japan. I made the earrings from recycled fine silver (silver that is higher in silver content than sterling silver), set with genuine rubies and sterling silver earwires. The silver has a subtly iridescent patina. The earrings are so light you can't even feel them on.  The total measurement of the earrings is 7/8 of an inch (about 22mm), minus the earwires they are just under 1/2 inch (about 11mm), the rubies are approximately 1/8 inch (about 3mm).
