A fully faceted Gemstone featured in a simple chain bracelet is perfect for a light touch of jewelry or stacking with other favorite pieces! The genuine Ruby stone is a luscious deep red, beautifully faceted on both sides, and bezel set with gold vermeil.
SIZE AND SPECS
The bracelet is approx. 7" (17.8cm) long. The chain is delicate but strong, with double strands of 14k Gold Filled rollo chain.finished with a 14k Gold Filled twisted toggle clasp. The oval stones are approx 13/16" X 1/2" (21mm X 12.7mm), bezel set in 22k Gold Vermeil (Gold over Sterling Silver). A "Bezel Setting" is a metal rim that encircles the sides of a stone and holds it securely.
WHY RUBIES?
In the ancient Sanskrit, ruby is called "ratnaraj," the King of Gemstones. Rubies are mentioned four times in the Bible, associated with attributes like beauty and wisdom. In the first century AD, the Roman scholar Pliny included rubies in his Natural History, describing their hardness and density. Ancient Hindus believed that those who offered fine rubies to the god Krishna were granted rebirth as emperors.
