2.62 carat Ruby. Certified.Retail Replacement Value: 410.00 dollars . One of dozens of rubies we have in stock.

We have hundreds of genuine jewellery items, from a few dollars to a few thousand, and profits help support animals.. Unless directed otherwise, my profits go to Cats Anonymous, a charity I have supported and volunteered at for years. But, if you have an animal sanctuary you would prefer to support, please let me know,We also have a large inventory of gem stones. We only list a few here on Etsy. If you want a specific gemstone, contact us and we will find what we have and list if you are interested. We sell earth mined gems only....there are a LOT of man made gems on the market. Gemstones are governed by the law of supply and demand. Quality stones are in short supply and go up in value. Man made stones can be made in any quantity and go down in value. All of our gems have been examined by a qualified gemologist. Those that have the word “Certified” in the title have been examined by one of Canada’s top gemologists, We work closely with one of Canada’s finest gemmologists, Lee R. Rock, FCGmA, RMV,CDG, CAP-CIA, a Registered Master Valuer, Accredited Appraiser, and one of the most respected gemologists in Canada. We will provide a copy of our appraisal, based on her findings, free of charge. The retail replacement value and description on our appraisal will be accurate ( we do not issue over inflated evaluations) But, for insurance purposes, you may require a copy of her appraisal. (Actually, we are finding that insurance companies usually accept our appraisals….but we cannot guarantee that) If you wish the master valuer to provide her appraisal with her seal, we can arrange it for $35 ( a regular $60 value) This is  ruby appraised by the master valuer at $410.00 retail replacement value. This ruby  is  approx. 10.5 x 6 x 3.7 mm and weighing 2.62 ctOur price is based on my cost. You benefit from my experience. Please be aware that high quality rubies  and sapphires  can sell for tens of thousands of dollars per carat, and are beyond our means to offer on this site. We would be glad to source such stones for anyone willing to pay the price, but they are very rare, and the prices reflect that. Be VERY wary of bargain priced rubies and sapphires! Expect the ones we offer here to have been treated and/or filled in some way. The retail replacement value assigned reflects that. We strongly suggest that anyone wanting a high quality genuine stone, but unwilling to pay the prices required look into spinels.  They are a beautiful gem in their own right, and it is important to note that one of the most famous of all stones, the Black Prince’s Ruby, part of the Imperial State Crown, part of the British Crown Jewels has now been discovered to be a spinel! It fooled kings and queens for centuries, so spinel is certainly worth your while to look at. There are a great many fake spinels on the market…as are there rubies and sapphires…. so it pays to buy a gem certified to be real. Ruby is the birthstone for JulyThe dark background shows off the gem, but makes it appear darker than it is. .This is our ruby 2323
